Software Requirements Seminar

Requirements form the foundation for all the software work that follows. Arriving at a shared vision of the product to be developed is one of the greatest challenges facing the software project team, and customer involvement is among the most critical factors in software quality. The objective of this seminar is to give attendees a tool kit of practices, that they can begin applying to improve the quality of the requirements development and requirements management processes in their organization. These tools will be reinforced with practice sessions and group discussions. This course, intended for software engineers, software managers, requirements analysts, and user representatives, teaches software teams how to elicit, document, and manage software requirements. There is ample time allotted for hands-on experiences for the participant.

The requirements training focuses on 2 Process Areas (PAs) of the Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI®). Management of requirements is a Maturity Level 2 PA. The need for gathering, documenting, and analyzing requirements is identified in Maturity Level 3 PA, Requirements Development.
