Exploring CMMI


Exploring CMMI is a tailorable intermediate-level training on the Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI®). It can range from an in-depth study of a few specific Process Areas (PAs) to 5 full days of training covering the 25 PAs and a Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPISM) overview. It is designed for appraisal team members, Process Action Teams (PATs), and engineering process groups. In addition to delving into each PA, we will also look at the PA in practice, leveraging off of participant and industry experiences.

The training will consist of lecture, hands-on experiences, and group participation. The Introduction to CMMI course is strongly recommended as a prerequisite to Exploring CMMI.

The topics covered will include

  • A closer look at CMMI, the model
  • 1 – 25 PAs
  • Overview of SCAMPI appraisal method
